Monday, November 18, 2019: Ensemble Chaconne of Boston,in a concert featuring songs from Shakespeare plays composed by English Renaissance and early Baroque composers accompanied by instruments of the period. Artists include Burcu Gulec, Turkish mezzo-soprano; Peter Bloom, flute; Carol Lewis, viola da gamba; and Olav Chris Henriksen, Norwegian lutenist, theorbo player, and guitarist. Monday, February 17, 2020: Catanza Guitar Quartet, featuring four guitarists and educators from metro Atlanta, including Scott Plato, Dr. Bill Hearn, Adam Craighead, and Matthias Young in a program of guitar duos, trios, and quartets.

Monday, April 27, 2020: Emrah Kotan Jazz Ensemble,featuring jazz professors from metro Atlanta colleges, including Gary Motley of Emory University, piano; Billy Thornton of Georgia State University, bass; Emrah Kotan of Agnes Scott College, percussion, and Ali Barr, trumpet and flugelhorn.

PAST CONCERTS SEASON 14

Monday, September 30, 2019: Atlanta Chamber Brass, featuring five up-and-coming brass players from metro Atlanta: Dr. Mark Dulin and Rolando Fernandez, trumpets; Eric Hawkins, French horn; Erin Cundiff, trombone; and Corey Sherman, tuba. They will be joined on a few compositions by Calvert Johnson, organist.


All programs are at 7 pm at Fellowship Presbyterian Church, 389 Bent Tree Drive, Jasper GA. There is no charge for admission, although contributions are gratefully received; donations from the series’ patrons cover the expenses of these concerts.

Members of the Board of Directors include Calvert Johnson, CEO and Concert Manager; Sara Corkill, Secretary Treasurer; Marc Unger; Kelly Lohman; Lin Pollard; and Suzanne Shull as past director.
